Overcrowded by fans seeking shelter from the rain, a section of Baker Bowl stands in the lower right field pavilion collapses in the top of the seventh inning. The Phillies are declared 12-3 winners over St. Louis after the umpire calls the game due to panic. They play their next 12 home games at Shibe Park and take a 22-game road trip before returning to Baker Bowl on June 24.
